  Mash

Hi All, I think I need a little motivation. For weeks i am working on mash. I love this peace, but at the moment I have the feeling i picked the most dificult of all. Is there someone who startet with mash too? How does it go? I worked on unchained melodie,
love me tender and Greensleeves, and got them all rather quick. But Mash truly is something else. And worse, I have no Idea where the problem is. It just wont work.
Greetings J.

Hi Joke,

It may be the 2-4 chord or the bar chords, just play the piece slowly then see where you have the trouble, then practice the 'hard' pieces over and over, practice makes perfect anyway! - it took me a while at first to get greensleeves down...

Anyway, good luck with your playing!

Jean

Hi joke,

you can maybe ask Battlepanda for advice, he or she posted this:

Kirk's Mash

On the 26 of last month, so has not long finished it. Might be a wealth of advice there.

This is going to seem daft coming from a guy only been playing a month now (if that), but i too have been playing and using unchained and Mash part 1, as advanced pieces for myself, i can now play them both very slowly from start to finish. I think thats the key! play them very slowly! at least until you have them memorised from the tab, and from there increase your tempo if you can manage it. This is my plan and how im doing it anyway. I also never let anything get the better of me normally, and will do something to death if thats what it needs.

I have also watched Kirk's video's of these two a lot, make that a whole lot, lol, i must have been through each song, at least a hundred times each now, and if it's working for me which i think it is, then it will surely work for you, good luck

Disclaimer: Im a noob, therefore cannot be held responsible for any duff advice

Don't sell yourself short. That's good advice you gave. Cool.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
