  Re the Music Building

From the apartment diagram the V room sticks out from the rest of the building so I visualize that it has a balcony with an attached fire escape which makes it easy to change floors/keys

I've also noticed that the iii,vii & vi rooms (bathroom, laundry & kitchen) are all
beside each other thus saving water pipe & making plumbing cheaper

See people, Kirk really is a genius

Strange you should mention the fire escape, 6string ... I was actually going to use the same analogy but thought I'd rambled on enough!

I could see you actually designing a real 12 floor building, naming the floors by keys instead of numbers & calling the elevator the slide......

I'm also the author of PlaneTalk - The Truly Totally Different Guitar Instruction Book. The lesson that this book, slide-rule and DVD teach is the most powerful of all: the 'trick' to seeing the entire fretboard as friendly, familiar territory. If you're beyond the beginner stage -- you know your chords, scales, maybe even modes -- but you're still wondering how to turn it all into music, how to invent and improvise, how to access all the bits and pieces, then this is the book for you. You will also be able to join the private PlaneTalkers' Forum and discuss the simple visualization technique with me and many others. - Read more here .

Testimonials

Kirk, I got your book in the mail today--in a word: FANTASTIC!!!! Kudos to you for such a well-thought-out, illustrated and produced book ... You are a wonderful teacher. Your writing is clear, your method is simply taught and your technique is so easy to understand...Any teacher could learn something about their skill by reading how you tackle such a lengthy, difficult subject in as many pages as you did ... Thank you for all of your correspondence and for sharing your knowledge ("the trick") with other guitarists!
