My first purchase, the extended version of Sixteen Twenty-five. Great tune look forward to learning. I like very much the longer lessons. Many thanks!!
This lesson as taught me something new. I used to use strictly use fingers 123 on strings 123 and thumb for strings 456 (when possible) but the video in this lesson shows the advantages of opening up more and using fingers 1 & 2 on the deeper strings 4 & 5 when applicable. Makes playing certain pieces a lot easier. Just thought I'd mention a small point that has helped my finger picking personally.
Lovely tone to your guitar. May I inquire Kirk as to what string gauge you use and also if you use 80/20 or phosphor bronze? I'm most curious.
I'm glad you're enjoying the lesson, r2g, and yes, it's good to relax any 'rules' about which fingers to use ... after a couple of run-throughs, the most comfortable and efficient pattern becomes apparent, I always find.
