Error in Jazzy Blues Fingerstyle Tab?
Jazzy Blues fingerstyle
Bar 3 right under the E7 chord tab instructs to pluck 2nd string 2nd fret
Bar 5 right under the E7 same thing.
I don't see this string plucked at these times in the video Kirk? Is this an error in the tab or am I just missing it?
Thanks.

What you are likely seeing is Kirk reinforcing the vibrato with his second finger that the third finger is doing. look closely and you will see that the third finger is on the 7th of the E chord.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing allthumbs.
At bar 3 right under the E7 chord. The tab instructs to pluck 2nd string 2nd fret and bar 5 right under the E7 the same string again, string 2 fret 2. Looking closely at the free video even slowing it down, string 2 isn't plucked at that point, only string 1, 3 and 4 (from what I can tell)

Are you sure you're reading it right? The only 2 under the E7 in bars 3 & 5 is 2nd fret on string 5, not string 2.

are you sure you don't mean 5th string 2nd fret?
the strings are numbered from 1 to 6 from the thinest to thickest
If I was a freak'n milloniare I'd be rich.

GUY GUYS yer my mistake with the string numbers (good grief what an idiot lol) but I still think there's a typo in the tab. Ok here goes again.
Bar 3 right under the E7 chord tab instructs to pluck 5th string 2nd fret.
Bar 5 right under the E7 chord tab instructs to pluck 5th string 2nd fret.
At that point in the video Kirk doesn't appear to play the 5th string but only strings 3, 4 and 6.
Sorry again my bad.

I see what you mean. It's not a typo, though, as that note is part of the E7 chord. It's also the 5th of the chord which means it's the least important note in the whole chord. Try playing it with and without that note - it makes virtually no difference.
So even if he didn't actually play it, or just softly brushed it with his thumb while plucking string 6, it's there in spirit.

I was sleeping while all this was going on.
As Fretsource says, it 's not really important if you play it or not and I haven't checked properly to see if I did in this lesson. I'm holding the whole chord down just in case I do hit a string I wasn't intending to hit, which is always a good idea. In many of these lessons you'll see me holding a whole chord shape down but only grabbing a couple notes from it. Play it or don't play it, it doesn't matter.

Good advice. Will bare in mind.
I don't play that extra note in the tab, I've decided to go by the video not the tab at that point. Sounds fine without it.
Anyhow. Thanks again for another great little tune
