Sixteen Twenty-five extended version ... Lesson?

This is the continuation of the free lesson I posted called Sixteen Twenty-five ... is anyone interested in the tab for this? There would be a small fee attached. There's only one camera angle so I can't do the usual split screen format but I can do the tab and offer the larger hi-res movie.

Golly,
That was nice, and the guitar tone is superb!

oh oh ohhh. That was beautiful. I was hoping to hear just the acoustic version. And what an amazing sound! The slide was great too, but I found it a tich (technical term) overpowering.

I'd buy that master lesson!

thanks, Kirk.

Thank, Doug, Eddie, Carol ... yes, that Ayers Guitar is as sweet as they come, isn't it. I couldn't be happier with it.

I will get stuck into doing the tab/notation for this asap. It's a fairly big job.

Nice playing as always Kirk.

Ayers is the choice of Warren Haynes as well.

But your far better then Haynes is.

Excellent! This one had some surprises in it, and it is quite lenghty. I'm going to try this one by ear.

When I finish, I might try some improf over it. Hopefully that won't take too much time, but I get sidetracked when doing projects, oh so easily.

I really like this piece - I like the melody line or the arpegiation on the top three strings and how by placing a different root under it, it changes even though it stays the same - if you know what I mean .
I find that arpegiation line difficult to get because I expect the first string to be higher in pitch but it's not. Take some getting used to.

Yes, that's the tricky bit. I'm trying to play as many of these open-string lines as possible just to train those fingers to be ready for that kind of thing. I find myself glaring at my fingers just to get them to obey until that muscle memory takes over.

You gotta love it!

Great tone Kirk. May I inquire as to what type of strings you have on this guitar? eg 80/20 or phosphor bronze etc.. and the make and gauge?

Many thanks.

Phosphor Bronze, 12 - 16 - 24w - 32 - 42 - 53. I get mine online these days, from Webstrings.com. They confirm what I always thought: that there are only a couple of makers of the actual wire, the rest is just branding. I used to buy any old brand and never really noticed any difference.

Thx Kirk. Appreciated. The guitar I recently bought (yamaha) has ever so slightly different gauge on string 3 and 6 (default strings on guitar)

.012 .016 .025 .032 .042 .052

I have a new set with the exact same gauge as yours. Thx for the info.
