The Song "Willin' by Little Feat
Ok folks, Perhaps I AM losing my mind or at least my memory cells!
I could have sworn I saw a version of Willin' on either this site or Plane talk.
Can someone direct me to that lesson?
I have been reading about other folks getting song/set lists together and it had restarted the itch to play out. So, I used to do that song a loonngg time ago and wanted to use it. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Andy S.

You remember right Andrew, I posted a link to a version I did a long time ago, testing out my new microphone.
Here it is again, the truck drivers anthem:

I should do a lesson, I guess??

Kirk does a version of this, but I don't think it is a lesson. It is a good idea for a lesson though.

Kirk, I'd really enjoy learing that song the way you play it. Here's one more vote for making a lesson of it.

Yeah, you can count me in for a vote too!

I'm also the author of
PlaneTalk - The Truly Totally Different Guitar Instruction Book. The
lesson that this book, slide-rule and DVD teach is the
most powerful of all: the 'trick' to seeing the entire fretboard as
friendly, familiar territory. If you're beyond the beginner stage -- you
know your chords, scales, maybe even modes -- but you're still wondering how
to turn it all into music, how to invent and improvise, how to access all the bits and pieces, then this is the
book for you. You will also be able to join the private PlaneTalkers'
Forum and discuss the simple visualization technique with me and many
others. - Read more here . |

Hi Kirk,
I just wanted to tell you that I wish I had this book years ago, when I first started playing guitar...While I did already know some of the material in your book, I had never put it together in my mind as clearly and concisely as you have... I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to be able to find their way around the fret board. You really did a great job.
