Bridge idea/tab for "Way Back When"
Kirk,
I have been playing something I wrote for a bridge to your ever-so-beautiful, Way Back When. My wife was clammoring for a middle section.
Would it be ok to post a tab and/or audio recording somewhere on this site? If not, I totally understand. I just love the song!

Great! It may take me a week or so with the holiday. I'm relocating across the country too. But, I promise to post something asap.
Kirk, that is a fantastic piece. I really like it. You were right too--it's deceptively difficulty.

I didn't have much time to get this down properly. You can hear me flub a few parts and the inside Cminor chord at the end is fingered too late. However, I think the musical idea is there.
It starts off at the end of Way Back When's "verse" (if you will) or Part A so you can get the feel of how it's connected. I didn't connect it back to the verse/A at the end. Instead, I ended it, which seems a little out of sorts.
Tried to keep the beauty and rather emotional feel to Kirk's verse/A part.

tab
If there is interest, I can clean it up and post the tab. I could also connect the whole thing up into one song and possibly ditch that Cminor thing at the end--possibly it's too Schmaltzy!
Let me know what you all think. Again, Kirk, what a beautiful song.

I like it, jb, follows on very nicely indeed. I don't hear anything schmaltzy. I would like to hear you play the whole thing now.
Merry Christmas!

Thanks to all and Kirk. I love this forum as well as the PT forum. I will get a full version up asap (I'm heading home to the cold of Detroit for the holiday so it may take a few days).
By the way, Kirk, I can't thank you enough for your lessons (bought the CD), the forums and PT. A year ago, I nearly gave up guitar forever.
I gave a little donation and will try to do so again when I can. You are the best! Hope to meet you someday down under.

52 degrees here{Detroit} this morning with rain all night and today, lost our 9 inches of snow from the other day, but the call is for colder temps tomorrow and into the week.
Edit - disreguard if you meant the "cold" of Detroit as in some of its personality.....LOL
Sorry Didn't mean to post that link, don't know what I did must of hit paste by accident.

jb,
That was indeed very nice. Take your time and put the whole thing together like Kirk said. Great playing, and probably even better when cleaned up.
Merry Christmas to ya!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
