Master Lessons

Woh. Just barely discovered this section. Something I'm very interested in. Just wondering how often you plan to update this section relative to the other sections. I'd definitely be willing to purchase the occasional master lesson.

Hi ethic ... that's good to hear.

At the moment, Clancy and I are camped out in our own home as we're having our kitchen re-done and the various tradesmen have let us down big time. This has been going on for weeks now and more to come. As soon as that's done, I'll definitely be looking at more Master Lessons ... if you have any suggestions as to what you'd like to hear, PM them to me. Can't be copyright tunes, of course, but I can probably get close without infringing on most.

Hey Kirk, August here

Wow, I sure do know what you are going through right now. To make a terribly long story as short as I can, my family and I endured a bit of a flood in our home, last January, due to a frozen water pipe and it took out our ceilings, walls, floors...the works! In any case, we had been staying (living) at the Ramada Inn since Feb of this year and just returned home, at the beginning of this month. Anything and everything that could have gone wrong with contractors, plumbers, painters, etc, did. What a nightmare.

Luckily for us we have good insurance and in the end it all worked out, but man you sure do meet up with the most incompetant individuals, that actually have the nerve to call themselves professionals.

Anyway, I hope your situation clears up a whole lot sooner than ours did. Oh and I really enjoyed the first part of Maple Leaf Rag. I know and play this piece well, but I love your versuib a hell of a lot more. Your version sounds alot more on the money than mine. I still say that you are the baddest guitar player on the planet and hope to hear more about you and your playing in the states. You always inspire Kirk. Thanks. We'll talk again.

Don't worry, Kirk!!! These kids nowadays use the word bad to
mean good. So, really, what Augustine is saying is that you're the
goodest guitar player on the planet! It's a compliment!!! Maybe
it's just a US thing.

No worries, mate. And I can say that, because I spent 3 months in
New Zealand during the last US Winter. So, we're kinda like family.
It's cool.

Oh no Kirk, did you think that I meant bad as in the worst guitar player on the planet? (all of the color leaving my face)

I sure hope not. I just took it for granted that someone had already said that to you at some point in your career, as a compliment. This is why one should never assume anything.

In any case buddy, I sure do hope that you now know( incase you didn't before) that when someone says that you are the baddest guitarist on the face of the planet, they mean that you are without a doubt one of the finest.

Peace

Yes, tricky little sucker, ain't it? Challenging, but a great one to play once you get it.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
