Hi all,
Seeing Kirk's new lesson on Stephen Foster's classic old song reminded me of once seeing an interview with well know Scottish comedian Billy Connolly.
Billy is also an accomplished banjo player and a great lover of that instrument. He apparently has a tattoo of a banjo on the back of one hand.
But, according to him, he originally wanted to have it tattoed on his knee. Not a practical spot to have any kind of tattoo because the bone is so close to the surface. But it would have allowed Billy to use the opening line from "Oh Susannah" to crack the joke "I come from Alabama with my banjo on my knee"....
