really pleased with me!
sorry about this post. but I just wanted to tell everyone that I have managed to play Unchained Melody all the way through and it sounds just like it should!
I am really pleased with myself. Obviously It is a little slower than should be, but getting it right is more important to me at this stage.
It is the first time I have learnt something using the TAB system. I never really thought I would understand it at all, but it is starting to make sense.
anyway, sorry again for being a bit boastful, but this has really given me the incentive to carry on learning!
Great site, great people
hope you all had a good weekend

Lucybeth, Good job! I know how hard it is when your not accustom to fingerpicking!
I have just finished it (Unchained Melody) and ,alas, am slow with it, but hope to have my fingers disciplined enough to become 2nd nature to their assigned places...I am looking forward to more challenging pieces. Kirk really can explain well in text and video!

hey Pete. thats an interesting idea! We could be the next big internet band. not quite sure what we could call ourselves and as for me singing. Err Brummie accent or not it aint pretty. Which makes it fun for my house when i am singing along as I practice!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
