Song on the Wind
Ok, a bit of a test here, but I wanted to offer it to the community, as a chance to help me grow. Some background:
Was on the Audio chat with Windsong tonight and he said he only knew a few chords, so I was toying around with a D,C,G progression (don't let him fool ya, he can blaze on that Tele! ).
So later I was chatting with EddieZ, and we were discussion the noise coming from the monitor into the guitar... and wondering if it gets caught in the recording. So I needed something I could record and post here.
Also, since we're posting... there seems to be some sort of limit on the audacity for the click track... so short songs are all I can write until ya'll help me extend the click tracks.
So with three birds to kill, allow me to toss a song on the wind.
Feel free to expand upon it as it is now community property.
Remember, wherever you go... there you are.

Nice one Dewy, thanks
in Audacity go to "generate"> "click track" > that will open a window to adjust tempo, bars etc. > make your changes and hit OK

Dewy,
Yep the noise is definitely present so kill that bird first. Can't say much about the program cause I don't use it.
In-spite of that, thats some very nice tone, and the playing is very good too.
I kinda liked the whole progression along with the chops. Great playing again.

It Is the Parker, set to neck pickup, humbucking mode. Clean channel of the V-Amp with a bit of gain for a slight growl.
I have been thinking the guitar might be under shielded, and am pondering pulling the guts out & adding shielding tape. But its also noteworthy that CRT's are a big part of the problem. My computer monitor & Television cause the most noise... so the Parker may be fine in a genuine studio.
Thanks X4, don't know how I missed that when I put the click track in... musta been when my wife was walking in the door last night. You ought to put your band on this riff and see if we can get a backing track for other users to work with.
Windsong, pen us some lyrics and we'll put them to the music.
Remember folks, this is our tune now... lets grow it into something nice we could use to promote the website... or something equally constructive.

Hi Dewy great tune, I had the start of an idea for lyrics, I linked into Windsongs comment about Fort Lauderdale so I'll run them past Windsong to see if he thinks they're any good as I'm not sure if they'll work

Hmm, here's an interesting question... I normally tune to Eb standard. For collaboration, should I retune, or should we transpose the song? I've pretty much won the bands I have played with over... and we all went Eb. I won't presume to convince everyone here to wander down here with me.

Hi Dewy, I'm still a bit of a novice, so that would be Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb, where all the strings are flat.

I definitely have to tune up... that was real close but off just a hair in every direction.
I guess it was odd setting that up for Db, Cb, Gb ?

Yes, I can bend a set of thicker strings farther at that tuning... They'll tune up to standard, but I'll be working a bit harder.
