If You Could See:

I posted this in the Showcase, as well, but it doesn't seem to get noticed over there, since there's no 'new thread' on the home page, so I thought I'd post it here as well.

This is a collab between Jomi and I, and he's playing all the guitar, thank goodness! LOL

I'm actually trying to figure out which one sounds better - vocally, etc. - the version in the Showcase, or this one. Jomi's voice sounds awesome on both versions, but mine...echo, no echo, back them off or bring them forward...this mixing stuff is confusing!

Nice tune ya's got here.
It may be just here on my end, but Elle's vox are way up front in the mix in both posts. I liked the musical sound better in the "showcase" version. Maybe another re-mix? or as said maybe just me!

Both voices are a little too forward in the mix in my opinion. but, nice going on putting a great tune together. Congrats.

Thank you friends, I'll try and fix the vocals - they don't, for some reason, sound quite as loud from here, but perhaps the pigeon netting is interfering with the signal...LOL

Oh, did I say out loud lately that having to get up and go to work and handle huge crises every day was stinky? Well, it is..1125 pm here, just got in....and back up at 530 tomorrow to do it again! GRRR

Thank you for all the nice comments and helpful tips, I personally preferred this (attached) version, I put some strummed guitar in to 'fill out' the background a bit, but Elle felt her vocals were 'pushed back', I'd really appreciate some feedback on that part as I thought they were fine and the waveforms for both sets of vocals are about the same - maybe it's a lot to do with the playback equipment? Or maybe because I tend to use headphones for recording and playing back everything?
If you think it needs a remix can you say exactly what you'd prefer i.e. vocals forward or back, panning etc..?

Thanks again.

Listening thru headphones as the wife is asleep...this is much MUCH better IMO, nice balance on all....well done. Will listen again tomorrow{thursday} thru my monitors as there is sometimes quite a difference in the two. But as of right now.....

Yep I agree with Kenny, this sounds much better to me too. The vocals seem equal now, I thought your vocals seemed a little too pushed back in the original Jomi. To my ear it sounds perfectly balanced now.

Well done to both of you! You sure know how to set a mood Jomi.
