Couple of ideas...

Ok.. weekends upon us again..its cold and rainy here and so incase anyone else finds themselves inside...s looking for somthing to do.. i'd thought i'd throw a couple of starting points into the pot.. have a good weekend all..

a) Those of you whove read my intro on this forum will know i'm into photography.. so how about using this photo of mine for inspiration.. its a standard sunset piccy so a tune shouldnt be too hard to come by...

Sunset

b) I picked up one of my old verses last night determined to finish it.. Its just about there so i'd thought i'd offer it up for sacrifice...

Been there, Seen it, Done it
=====================

Well ive been there, seen it, done it,
Ive heard it all before,
Dont even bother trying,
Your lies dont work anymore,
Yes ive lived it, breathed it, run it,
A hundred times and more,
Everytime ive finished,
Much worse of than before.

You played with fire but baby
Its my heart that got burned,
The same story a thousand times
Youd think by now i'd learned,
No happy ever after,
No Fairytail 'I Do',
For every time love comes my way,
It reminds me of you.

Ive had it and ive lost it,
thats just the way it goes,
Flying through the high times,
Crawling through the lows,
Im up, i'm down, i'm all around,
I'm so messed up i know,
I walk alone in the pits of hell,
Ive no where left to go.

Well ive been there, seen it, done it,
Ive heard it all before,
Dont even bother trying,
Your lies dont work anymore,
Yes ive lived it, breathed it, run it,
Round fifty blocks or more,
Crossed the track, not coming back,
Walked out and shut the door.

Pretty good lyrics Paul. Good flow and visual imagery.
"Flying through the high times,
Crawling through the lows,"
Nice line, man I am caught in the blues. This has the BB King feel to to me.

Yeah, this is great stuff. It does sound like blues.

While reading, I sort of sung it in my head. It flows very well.

I hope someone adds music to this.

Music is everybody's possession. It's only publishers who think that people own it.

I was putting some chords and vocals to this and it sounded ok.

If someone else has something feel free

Well here's the idea from me...i had to play it quiet
cause of the time and neighbors, but in time i can
do more with it, this is just my basic idea and the first 2
verses or chorus

BTW, you will probably have to 'save as target' to play this
it wouldn't play as an upload for me for some reason

Good Tom! You kind of played that second verse like a chorus. Paul, what did you have in mind for a chorus?

Thanks fly and carol

Fly, don't know if it was what paul was lookin for, maybe something more electric and bluesy. Also my eqipment isn't as good as most peoples so maybe i should wait before joining these collabs?...anyway i realized the first verse is kinda like
the last so i should of made those the chorus, i could
always switch things around

Tom,

Thanks for picking this one up. Nice to hear your version of it. I'm intreagued as to how others read/hear the lyrics when they see them.. and if they read them in the same tempo/rythem as i heard them when i wrote them... Two people have mentioned a blues type feel to them which is cool. Whilst i'm not a blues man myself as such, its still a nice take on what i had originally thought.. Nice one

Hi Fly,.. i didnt have a chorus for this one as such... when i wrote it the first two verses were up tempo.. with a very slow.. reflective third verse.. finished up tempo on the fourth... if that makes sense..
