Hi Hilch!
Cool song....can you write the words out so I can see the pattern better?
Here is the melody I am hearing...what do you think?

Hi Hilch- you have some good words to work with there and I thought SlickCat's improv sounded quite good, not drowning out your voice. I am no expert, but I think maybe a slightly more lively tempo would sync you two together better. Good job you two!

Hi Hilch and slickcat, thats a great melody to go with the words, will you rework it if your happy with that tune, if the song has a couple of guitar breaks in it, it will really come together, I don't know if you were thinking of breaking it up hilch or if you wanted vocal continuity or if your happy to break the song up into smaller pieces, that's your call just an idea.

Yes the singing needs to sync better...and maybe add space between lyrics for solo...this is at the very beginning at this point.
Here is my second try...still the sync is off...

Trev,
Try to rework the tune to a verse and chorus with some breaks for music. And tap your foot for some beat rhytem while your doing it.
This will help in getting to a rhytem track. Or use some type of metronome.

Put your purple shirt and hipwaders on and hit that mic...LOL "I was mesmerized by your eyes, I was in love, in love..." (did ya have beer goggles on?)

Ok now I'm in trouble...LOL

I'm sitting in our house
Like a little church mouse
For this aint a home
Now that your gone

Theres still a fire in my heart
Your soul and I will never part
Coldness towards me isn't you
Your other love I never knew

I was caught in a tidal wave
I really didn't want to be saved
I was mesmerized by your love
I was in love , in love , in love

That twinkle in your eyes
Were all the stars in my sky
A soft glittering shine
I thought you were mine

You desired love from another
Is it love or is it just a lover
Remember mountains can be strong
But one big bang and they are gone

I was caught in a tidal wave
I really didn't want to be saved
I was mesmerized by your love
I was in love , in love , in love

----------------------

Now I know I really can't sing after listening to Slickcats playing ..
Elle ....Nahhhh No purple shirt yet and I do have beer googles but you got the words wrong but since your nearly the big 50 I'll forgive you .....
This was just to how I had the song in my head along with a complete choir voices in my head want to sing ...
Slick : The very beginning of your playing that deep notes your playing I think they work awesome sorry I just can't sing
Thanks everyone
