SoundClick song info: Hard Sell vocals by hilch - Song info page with free MP3 music downloads
Lyrics are as follows
Hard sell
Doing the hard sell
Working for the man everyday
Never the soft sell
If I want to earn good pay
I won't ask you
I'll tell you what you really need
I will call you
Just when your going to have your meal
I will annoy you
Just so I can sell my goods
I will pester you
Like a stray cat in the woods
Doing the hard sell
Working for the man everyday
Never the soft sell
If I want to earn good pay
I will push my theme
I will never leave you alone
You will buy my dream
Even when your at home
Give me your credit card
Then I'll be on my way
No need for a security guard
Trust me you will have your say
Doing the hard sell
Working for the man everyday
Never the soft sell
If I want to earn good pay
When I make that deal
I'll be on my way
Some say only thieves steal
You will never remember my name
{ very quietly now whispered}
Doing the hard sell
Working for the man everyday
Never the soft sell
If I want to earn good pay

What do I have against salesmen ?
Its a song ... What did Lennon have in mind when he wrote Imagine ..Songs don't have to be about a grip against someone or something songs can be " Just Songs " ...

Hey Hilch, it would be a good idea if you could record yourself without the 2nd voice or any effect.
Also, just my humble opinion, it would be good to have a bridge and something diferent for the chorus instead the same vocal pattern. That would help to push the song up and not be so plane.
Any sugestion about the main melody? Knight46 got a good idea

Trev, just my thoughts here, but how about lowering the reverb voice to sit behind yours{you know what I mean}...think that would sound cool, not quite a whisper mind you but a definite volume difference...try it and see what you think...........Kenny

Much better in the vox{levels} IMO, another opinion...lose the effects..trev your lyrics and vox are fine and they don't need to be hidden behind so much fx, again just my thoughts. Your heart is so into writing and singing, you need, as like me, more confidence. Post it straight up{even with just a "LITTLE" fx} and you'll see by the reply's.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
