Who is up for a challenge ???

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/song...songID=5291388

Vocal track for a song I wrote ,,,

I am no singer and I aint no guitarists either but thought it would be fun to see if anyone was interested in makeing some noise with me ..

Hey I can re-do the vocals as I did make a mistake in this one anyway ..

I've never done mixing either but hey only one to learn ...

Don't be shy or I may have to do it all by myself and that would be just terrible ...

I sing better than I play , so you get my drift I am a very ordinary guitarist ...

The lyrics are here

Everybody lies
But not everybody
Cries

Your white lies
Make crying eyes
Your bigger lies
Destroy our lives

Think before you speak
Gossip cuts so deep
Rumours can end us all
Don't take your bat and ball

Everybody lies
But not everybody
Cries

Not everybody cries

I won't stand your rot
Honest you are not
You say what I want to hear
When you leave we will all cheer

There is no horse or cart
Say the words from your heart
Don't tell those deceitful lies
I won't be the one who cries

Everybody lies
But not everybody
Cries

Not everybody cries

Eddie152

Took up this challenge and can I say what a marvelous musician and singer this man is ..

I 'll get to sing my version later on but wanted to show off Eddie's talents to everyone first ..

Well done Eddie , Dylanesque / Kenny Rogers in parts ..

I have listened to this that many times now it's not funny and I enjoy it more every time ..

Thanks Eddie for bringing this song to life with such passion ..

Explaination on some lines
Bat and ball line don't sipt the dummy ..umm means don't get mad and run away ..
Horse and cart line ..Don't put the horse before the cart is a old saying , a bit like don't count your chickens before they hatch mm Don't get ahead of yourself is what it means ..

Trev,

When I clicked on the sound file in hifi I came out wierd, but the Lofi
worked well.
Now nobody's gonna think were crazy.
I thank you for feeling this way about this version. Now its time time get you up and going for your very own.
I thought when the site made changes it would make it difficult for us to do our own stuff. Now we can all see that lyrics, notes, and songs come from all our minds. They are in all of us its just a matter of bring the cream to the top.

Thanks for posting the challange now its your turn. I will help you with this. But we have to determine which scale fits your voice best.
Does the tune itself or style work for you ?

eddiez

Yep Eddie did a fantastic job

I'm really looking forward to try and to record something that has the same passion and quality as Eddies does ..

And then maybe we could do a duet version

Verse for verse and together on the choruses ...

I think that would be kool

I had my doubts when I first read those lyrics...they seemed short and choppy.... (but then, what do I know?) It's amazing what adding good music can do! Sounds like it's gonna be a neat song. I'm waitng for the final version!!! Keep it up guys I'm impressed!!

Thanks,

To all, who were able to enjoy something from this and taking time to listen. I did my best, on this.
Some simple strummimg, keyboard work, a little singing to perhaps a sad song with a lot of meaning to hilch. I was just happy that it turned out this way.
You know, this was one lucky take, and as I was singing each verse, I was thinking of every word in the text. In the end I realized why I came out this way.
