CM#1 - Tekker Mix

Here is my submission for the community mix.
Tekker Mix

For comparison, here is an unmixed version of the song as it started out with nothing done to the original tracks.
Original Tracks

My approach to this song was to go fairly heavy with the reverb up until the drums and bass come in because it gives it a washy sound that I think fits the mood of the song since he's singing about the ocean and all. Once the drums and bass come in, the reverb is backed off a lot so the instruments and vocals blend together better.

Effects plugins used on this mix:

AiXcoustic Creations Electri-Q
Kjaerhus Audio Classic Compressor
Kjaerhus Audio Classic Chorus
Kjaerhus Audio Classic Delay
SIR
GlaceVerb
Slim Slow Slider Cat Delay
Voxengo Audio Delay
Buzzroom BuzMaxi3 Limiter
Buzzroom GeneComp (Mono Version)

All of these effects plugins are 100% FREE and can be found here along with several other free effects. My mix was made with these free effects and nothing more. There are a lot of really good freebies available, so you don't have to have a lot of money (or any money ) to get good results.

If you'd like to have a go at mixing this tune, see this thread in the recording forum for details.

Tekker,
Nice work, I like the addition of echo and bringing in the big drums in places.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
