Helplessly Hoping

Alright...

Jason, lets work this one out. It's favorite of mine and I've played it off an on for, well, a couple of decades. And that doesn't mean I know it well, just means that I've played it a few times.

Jason, can you multi-track?

Of course, others are welcome to join in as well. My voice is pretty cigarettey and drenched in either coffee beans or hops grain, , so any one that has a nice tenor and or falsetto would be good. I can do the lower tenor, barritone.

Any bassist want to hook up? If not, I can plug away at it.

If someone wants to hook up for the lead finger picking that would be great. I'd like to compliment the lead with an upper octave set of finger picking. Jason, you ok with doing rhythm? Or can you do the lead finger picking?

As well, I'm open to anything for this one.

Great tune with great GFB & B musicians!

Don't worry about cheap equipment. Cause that's what I have too!

I'll do the mix down, if you don't mind. This is what I'd like from you, if it's ok. If you can do exactly what you did on your original recording, except break out the vocals and guitar on separate tracks that would be great. Your vocals are just fine, they just need to be brought up front. Set a click track for 116 bpm and we'll go from there. I think 120 bpm would be a tad nicer though. Just let me know what you bpm is set to. Also, leave about 10 seconds of dead air in front of your start. Just so I can get markers set.

You can send me each track as a 128k bit mp3 file.

If you want to finger pick the lead, rock on, I'll do a finger pick harmony to your lead. I'll pick up the bass if there are no other takers.

Looking forward to hearing the final product boys. I think RockerBob did a version of this a while back, but I might be mistaken. His vocal and gee-tar talents would certainly help with this collaboration. Hey RB, where are ya man?

I did a version a while back. I have 2 guitar tracks, 3 vocal tracks and a bass.
