Acoustic Co-lab - original works

Would like to co-lab on a fresh acoustic piece. Lyrics, melody. Top to bottom.

Post or PM is fine if you'd like to.

The more the merrier.

Lc,
Gonna try to work on something, I would love to have you go over it in a Pm sometime.
When I'm ready. For your ears only.
For now, you got the lead.

I think originals would allow us to explore and be more creative.

Originals Chris. I think that would test our skills. I'd like to use a 12 string. But I'm not a lead player so someone will have to take up the slack on lead. I'd like to stay in the realm of 120 - 130 bpm. Though I am adventurous.

I'm open to suggestions and ideas for a lyric. Lets write this one together.

Takers?

Les, you're the lyrics guy- I could help with writing the music end and playing some counterpoint guitar. Don't know about lead. That's an area I'm working on, trying to get better...
When I'm writing a song (it's been a while since something has hit me, one of those lulls) I'll have the music before the lyrics. I think it'd be interesting to try going the other way around. Let's see what happens- you take the helm, though!

Alright then. I'll try and get a start this weekend on a base melody and some lyrics.

OK, I've got a hook. Depending on the imagination, it can go in any number of directions.
Lets put our heads together here.

The hook is .. "Keep The Change"

This could be about a person who wants to "change" a second person but the second person doesn't want to change. i.e., "Baby, you can keep the change"

It could be about someone paying off someone else... $$ money wise.

Let bounce some ideas.....

or ... if you'd rather, I've got a lyric about 'Lighthouses' and another 'Jesus In Jade' that could be put up Though they both are rather long.
