hmmm which to pick??? need help!!!

i have played the drums for quite some time now (5 years) and i would really like to no how to play the electric guitar. i plan on just gettin a starter kit until i learn if i want to keep playing or if i even enjoy it...im sure i will though. i would like to be able to play some metal songs and hard rock. my favorite guitarist would have to be noah henson from the band pillar....hes incredible. but the ones i have been lookin at real hard is the Epiphone SG Special Electric Guitar Player Pack........and the Epiphone Les Paul Special II Player Pack. these look like awesome deals...but i have no clue. all of ur responds r aprreciated.

For a beginner who wants to learn to play I think Epi's are great. They have great tone and they play good. If you need or want to upgrade later all you need to do really is to swop the electronics for the real made in USA stuff and your waxed... but that is just my opinion. I dont know the band you are talking about but I am guessing they play with Gibsons.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
