Help!!!
Hello,
I was just wondering what tuner is recommend for an acoustic guitar. I just started playing the guitar about 3 months ago, so I am having trouble tuning up my guitar. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks,
-Veronica

Pretty much any tuner with a mic, you can get online tuners, that give you a reference note or if you've got a pickup, will act like an electronic tuner.

I have a Korg GA-30 that I like it has both LED color tunning (red out of tune green in tune) plus it has a analogue type needle thats to to where the tunning is. It was cheap enough and serves me well, only real advice is get one with a needle pointer as they are loads more acurate

If it's strictly acoustic, not acoustic/electric, you may want to try one of these. Two friends have them and both really like them. No cables to hook up, so if it is plain acoustic, the little mic on most tuners can pick up extraneous sounds and make it difficult to tune easily.
These go strictly by vibration of the headstock, so other sounds & noises do not affect the tuning function. This is the less expensive model but it seems to work well for my two friends.
The photo here shows it on an electric, but they use theirs on their acoustics. Works the same. Decent price, too.

Mine's real similar to Krissovo's - a Korg CA-30. It has both an input jack and a mic, so can be used with either acoustic or electric.....but as Andy said, the mic can pick up extraneous noises, which can complicate things if you're tuning in a noisy place.

For me it was a toss-up of a Korg tuner or a Boss TU-80. I opted for the Boss but haven't been really impressed by it since I bought it. Maybe I should of picked the Korg.
I did have a BOSS tuner years ago but lost it in my travels. It was a real good one which is why I kind of chose the BOSS. Mind you, the BOSS I had years ago was a whole lot more expensive than the one I have at the moment.

i have the intellitouch P1 Tuner and it works well. The only issue that i have with it is that it sometimes does not pick up the low E well on a classical guitar but i am sure that is because of the position on the head stock. works with no issue on acoustics.

Intellitouch tuners are popular but are VERY fussy. I have 3 of them and when someone wants to borrow one I take the time to explain how to use the tuner because it doesn't work like a 'regular' tuner.
Sabine makes a great tuner and QuikTune is junk imho.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
