Which guitar should I purchase?

Hey, I'm looking for a new acoustic guitar to buy, but I'm not sure which one to get. My budget is around $1500. Right now I'm looking at a Taylor 310ce because they got good reviews, but I'm wondering if there are any better acoustic guitars out there for $1500. I primarily like to strum, but I like finger-picking also. When I played guitars at the store I really liked the Gibsons, though they were too expensive. The Taylors were good also, but I liked the Gibsons more. Should I just buy a Taylor, or another guitar, or just spend more for a Gibson. From your experience which guitars do you guys like? Thanks for the help.

Hi Kevin

What I like might be what you like , I have seen this question asked in heaps of forums . You will get the die hard Seagull fans , Epiphone , Fender and so many more .

I am only a beginner so my advise probably won't mean a real lot to any one but hey I am going to voice it anyway ....

Buy what YOU like what suits your musical needs what YOU desire I want a Gibson just like Mr Clapton , but I can't see the need for it yet as I can not play that well ....

I bought myself a Fener DG series this year , I was told in other forums that this brand and that brand were better , but when I held that little baby in my hands I knew that this was for me ...

I looked at 7 different brands all around the same price , I finger picked a little on everyone of them , I still kept coming back to the Fender so I bought it ....

That is my advise go play them ... The right one for you will tell you , the it sounds they it feels , ( it's almost like falling in love with your partner all over but this one don't give you chores to do )

Trev.......

Thanks for the reply hilch! Yeah, you're right. I should buy the guitar that I like the most and not what others think.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
