Expanded Warranty worth it?

Just wondering If the extended warranty is worth it for new guitars or used guitar? or is it even worth paying for it?

Most of my new guitars came with a lifetime warranty, so this is not something I've thought much about. I would probably not buy an extended warranty for the ones that don't have a lifetime warranty, and I never have so far.

Like Rockerbob said, most of my guitars came with a lifetime warranty. Those that didn't didn't cost as much as the extended warranty that was offered. (slight exaggeration there) But not much.

In general, I am a firm believer in not getting extended warranties. They are just an added profit for the dealer. Most products of any kind have an adequate warranty that is included. This of course is just my opinion.

yea, I thought so too. I just returned my extended warranty on a used guitar that I just bought. I read the exclusions, it says it does not cover wear and tear. Just manufacture defects. Since the product is used it doesnt come with any warranty from the manufacture. Oh and it's for 2 years. Definately not worth it

I fell for the extended warranty con a couple of times when they first started doing it. What wised me up was:

1. That the things I bought the extended warranty on never needed it.

2. The Simpsons when they are re-hammering the crayon back into Homer's brain to make him dumb again and he says, "Woo! Extended Warranty? How Can I lose!"

Most products that die will do so very soon after you start using them. Just a clever money spinner as gasbag was saying.

Noodling. It has nothing to do with catching fish. It's got to do with fish catching you.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
