Never played before and am looking at this guitar:
Vagabond Classical Acoustic
For $80.00.
Used one year. Do you think it's a good deal?

I have no first-hand experience with them, but anything beats an air-guitar, If its all your budget will allow at the time, or just feels right then by all means go for it. As your skills improve down the road apiece you'll probably end up like 99.9% of us and be up-gradeing as you go....Enjoy

Are you buying online or from a shop Smiling Tiger, I haven't seen these in the UK, it's a pretty low price so I think that's good for a budget guitar, if you get a chance to hear it it would be good but if you only have a limited amount to spend (which I always do) it will get you into playing and like X4String said with a bit of experience under your belt you'll be thinking about an upgrade

Tiger,
I may be a pretty good deal, but if you have a store close by, go to it first and try some guitars in that price range. Then make your decisions.

+1 on that good advice from Eddiez, when you're starting out it's important you have a guitar you are comfortable with so it's worth trying a few out

Me too ... agree with all above. My first classical was made in China and cheap. My next was made in Spain and ten times the price of the first. But both feel comfortable to play, and they both make the same mistakes. In the early months you don't need concert quality, so if you find something cheap that feels good in your hands, then that's all you have to spend. Experience at playing will make for better upgrade decisions later.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
