Left Handed Torch Strat Style- Tommy Emannuel
Any views on this ebay item? My views are: lefty, electric, black, cheap, and frankly that's enough as long as it stays cheap (and, the 'sig' is on the back so no-one will ever know).
If it goes higher, what would be reasonable? I suppose its too much to hope it might sound OK? And any aussies that see this, butt out - I saw it first!!! here

Good luck Carol, cool even if the signature can't be authenticated.

Hi Carol, not the easiest guitar to find but here are some reviews ( I think this is the same) it's pretty low budget plywood etc., I've seen a couple more reviews but they didn't say much about the guitar, as for price second hand I wouldn't go past the hundred personally but that's up to you, (I assume you can collect it so that gives you a bit more cash) say between $35 and $60 and start thinking twice after $60, the signature will be the only thing that will push the price up but there is no proof of authenticity so people will be sceptical about it being genuine, of course if you get it cheap and you can prove the signatures genuine then you can sell it on for a profit, if the sellers near you they might let you try it out first that would be cool, good luck with the auction if you have a go

Tommy Emmanuel doesn't play a strat. And he is a rightie. It must be a fake.

Wise thoughts TigerKraw, I'm fierce when I bid and take no prisoners! The fact that I got snipped last week ( )has just increased my ruthlessness.

Well friends and helpers, I am pleased to announce that I am now the proud owner of the above guitar. The price? $64 and no postage! That's about 28 pounds so I think I did well.
Thanks for the info Skrik, I don't think he ever claimed it was Tommy Emmanuel's own guitar, just one that has a signature "Tommy Emmanuel" on the back which may or may not be genuine.
As far as I'm concerned, the sig is irrelevant, except if its genuine I might have a more valuable guitar if I ever sold it.
This time I made no mistake and made a killer bid with 2 minutes to go. Someone else increased their bid twice after mine but only raised it $5 and then $10 which wasn't enough and mine over-rode his. So, the neighbors had better watch out, I'm going electric!

Nice one Carol price was perfect, don't see how you can go wrong at that price nice bit of bidding too, going on what Skrik said and assuming most guitar players in Oz Know TE''s preferences it would be unusual for a forger to put TE's signature on a Strat. so there's a good possibility that it's genuine so it's a nice one for your collection, tell us how it sounds when you get it home.

Thanks everyone. I don't really care about the sig, maybe curious in a very mild way but I'm glad its on the back! I assumed it could have been a TE fan who asked TE to sign the fan's own guitar at some time in the past.
I don't plan to get an amp yet, or maybe ever. I was learning a bit about them, but then I learned that Tekker doesn't have one, and says he doesn't need one because his software will do everything he wants. So I plan to see what the guitar will do - I have absolutely no clue about electrics or amps etc yet.
My recent ebay purchase of that USB interface for recording has a whole lot of software as well, which I haven't even used yet. I hope that's all I'll need. I don't plan on any heavy metal shredding or head-banging....yet
By the way, the neighbor on one side is a little old lady who is deaf, and the neighbor on the other side will soon wish they were
