Alhambra?

i plan 2 buy a new steel string guitar. actually i tried some of the "famous" brands like gibson, martin- and one guitar called alhambra luthier J.
some facts:
TOP:
Solid German Spruce or Red Cedar
SIDES & BACK:
Solid Indian Rosewood or Solid Curly Maple
NECK:
Solid Indian Rosewood in five pieces/ Utile with Truss Rod
FINGERBOARD:
Ebony with Solid Maple inlay
MACHINE_HEADS:
Gold Plated
BINDING:
Solid Curly Maple or Solid Indian Rosewood
ROSETTE:
Abalone and Natural Coloured Veneers
FINISH:
Gloss
BRIDGE:
Ebony with Abalone inlay

my question is if someone has some experiences with this acoustic? i dont really know much about guitars- im grateful for any advise.

The reviews mostly look very positive...

No personal experience with them, however.

  Alhambra Luthier

Hi,

I tried to find "the" steel string for a couple of months. I had some VERY expensive taylor guitars in my hands and all the usual suspects like Gibson, custom Martins, Lakewood, Stevens and quite a few L'Arrivee's. All beautiful guitars up to 5000 $. Then I stumbled upon a SPANISH guitar and it blew me away. I bought the Alhambra Luthier j Series. It may not be as loud as a Taylor but it just a lot warmer to MY ears. I come from classical guitars originally so that might explain a lot. The finish is wonderful, playability great. I've been told it will be reviewed in GTR in march. Oh and by the way the alhambra cost half of the Taylor that was my favourite and somewhere near that level of sound and ease of playing....I have found one or two "difficult" zones on the 5th string 9th and 10th fret since then, but all guitars have them. Most people I show it too don't believe their ears. Try one.

Good Luck!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
