Guitar for 10 and 40 year old

My daughter, Charlotte 10 years old, is in need of an acoustic guitar. She is already playing a cheap foreign import one at the moment.
I want to buy her a new one as she seems serious about playing. I would also like a 'thrash' on it too.

Is there a make and model that you experienced guys n gals can recommend here in the UK. I would want to spend about £100 to £150.

If I wanted to buy second hand, what should I look out for?

Can any one help and old guy and his daughter.

Charlotte and her sisters have put together a band, Funky Dragons, and have their first 'gig' in the school talent show.

Andy

I don't know if you can get these in the U.K. They are surprisingly well made.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
