Dean Acoustic/Electric

I started out a few months ago with a Dean hardtail electric and have been learning primarily by dvd (i own several) and wanted to add an acoustic to broden my practice sessions. I purchased the Esteban Master class package and recieved it a few weeks ago. The guitar really isn't that bad (has a little buzz here and there), but I actually wanted the dvd's most out of the package. I'd been practiceing with this guitar for about 4 hours a day for 2 weeks and was getting a bit better, but nothing like the progress i was making with the Dean. So last night I put the esteban on it's stand and got my dean back out (i'm thinking this ain't no acoustic but lets just check it out) I set my peavey amp to vintage and tried to get it as "close to acoustic" as I could and started estebans lessons from the beginning. the difference was incredable. Things I just couldn't get on the esteban were happening with my dean within just a few minutes. Well sorry Esteban you got the best dvd's out there, but the guitar just ain't getting it. I still want to play some acoustic and am wondering if I shouldn't just check out another dean. Their electrics are great can I expect the same playablity with another model?

There are a few people who are happy with an Estaban but, most move on very quickly. Your best bet is to go to a music store and play some acoustics in your price range till you find something you like.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
