A quick question.....

Hello Folks,
I am wondering what kind of backing tracks are wanted? I mean, just chord progressions in mp3 format, or midi files, etc? I have a few 1000 midis that I could go thru if I knew what was wanted, and how they were wanted, i.e. without melody, bass, guitar, etc? Just wondering.....

I think basically anything that can be used to solo over - and then after we record ourselves playing over it we can upload that back here for others to hear. It's lots of fun.

Usually mp3 files are uploaded because they sound the same on everyone's system and are of good quality. If you have a MIDI file that you think will be good as a backing track, then give it a try I'd say.

Usually people upload chord progressions - blues, fusion, jazz, etc. so we can solo over them as if we had a band behind us (and we're the big time lead guitarist! )

Basically, anything that doesn't already have a lead on it... Rhythm guitars, bass, drums, etc. -- all good!

Just as Jim says, Smurf. If you can also post the chord progressions too, that would be great.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
