80's Style Backing Track
Here's one that should be a lot of fun to play over. It's a great track to really dig in melodically.
ambient3.mp3
Enjoy!

I don't think I could record over it though, I don't own an electric guitar

Beautiful track, James. I kept waiting for Joni's voice to pipe up! Mitchell, that is.
I'll have a go asap.

That does sound like fun, Jim....thanks for posting it.
Please keep in mind that some of us are stoopid, not like Kirk, and can't necessarily figure out the chords for these backing tracks ourselves. It would be most helpful if you could provide the chords when you post a track. Keep it simple. Remember, me stoopid.

See my note above linking to the changes. You can determine the key changes by looking at the chords used. Here are some suggestions:
Using the A minor pentatonic the scale can be in either the key of C or G. Start there and let me know what you think.

Hi Scotty,

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
