Folsom Prison Backing Track
In a recent Chat, CanuckTodd was working on Folsom Prison Blues. I recommended Band in a Box as a good tool to jam with. I quickly created a Band in a Box MIDI backing track for Todd to jam with. Since I already had it started, I decided to go ahead and replace all the Band in a Box tracks with my guitar and bass. I did edit the drum track as well, but it's basically Band in a Box drums that I converted to good drum samples. I used my new Variax bass for the bass and my Variax guitar for the guitars.

I forgot the format. 2 bar intro - 2 verses - 1 verse instrumental - 2 verses and end.

Hey RB,
You are the man! I'm going to work on this and have some fun with it. That Variax bass sounds just tub thumping good for this tune. You should also post the version you made with your vocals, that was great stuff!

I love this song. I've got to find the tab for it! Love those little licks in it! Thanks RB!

As I remember, it is just E, A and B7. Chorus is A, E and B7. At least I think so.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
