I do believe I'll take a crack at this one when I put my electric back together- likely slap some vocals on there as well. I love listening to ol' Albert King knock this one out!

Perhaps this weekend I can try my hand(s) at this - it's a great BT and I love the piece (and the way Albert King plays too). First I want to do a decent job on the next Circle of Blues contribution - if that goes well, then I'll do this. I ordered an SM57 mic - if I get it by the weekend, I may try to record with it!

Going back and listening to this again- sounds a whole lot more like "The Thrill Is Gone", than "Born Under a Bad Sign". Doesn't make it less cool of a back-track, but if it's the song I'm thinking of, this isn't it.

Same chords but, born is played with 7th chords, at least the way Hendrix played it.

Thanks for posting this BT. I had made a dodgy one myself, so this will be a very welcome replacement.

cheers

I am thinking of doing my own bt for that. it has a distinctive bass line that doesn't come across in Red Ants bt.

AT - you are quite right. This bt funks it up a bit and tones down the bass somewhat....still heaps better than my home made version. Look forward to hearing yours.

I use to go an see a local trio every thursday night, and my friend (who sadly passed away a few months back) use to request this track every week. These guys did a great version. The bass player used a double bass which sounded great.

I downloaded the Cream version recently, but do prefer Albert King and Robben Ford versions personally.

cheers

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
