  Josie by Steely Dan

Hey guys
Have a play over this - Josie by Steely Dan.
Your chance to pretend to be Larry Carlton - or Pete Huttlinger or Rick Ruskin if you have heard their versions of the tune.
I will post a chart of it soon for those not familiar with the track

I like the backing you put up. It has a lot more snap to it than the backing I played over. Maybe if I can free up some time I'll play over yours. Did you put this together? Very nice arrangement!

Smoooooooth- kind of thing to listen to with a couple drinks. Sit back, close your eyes, and just nod along to the beat...

Hi Jim
I actually did the mix on this. Some of my friends who run a studio played on it.
I keep meaning to put up a lead sheet for this - I am in 'dumb' mode at the moment and lots of things are slipping out the back door of the brain!

That was an excellent BT you put together. I wish I had played over this one instead! Very crisp rhythm playing, excellent work!

From memory it was a custom Tele-style guitar played through a Roland VG-88

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
