How to Play Slide Guitar in Standard/Dropped-D DVD by Kirk Lorange
If you really want to spice up your playing, slip a slide over your pinkie and add it to your musical vocabulary. There's no need to re-tune your guitar to an open tuning, just stay in standard or lower that bass string down to D. Kirk shows you how in this 70 minute DVD, talking and playing you through the basics, vibrato, muting, playing single note lines, finding all the chord flavors (they're all there!) and mixing it all into one very neat hybrid style of playing guitar. You forgot Kirks' heavy brass slide. Now he is back in Oz, it is available again.

Had I known, I would have put him at the top of the list.
Thanks for the heads up.
Kirk's CD is still one of my favorites. I play it all the time.

Bonjeur Barry! (...yep, back from the sunny French Riviera  ...) Now, this is a seriously impressive listing - some of my good buddies on here..and some i've never heard of - and many thanks for putting us at the top of the list I'm definitely going to put this onto our copy-files for future reference.
Just a quick mention to our friends here - the great Debashish Bhattacharya (...one of the worlds great slide guitarists...) has given us a glowing endorsement in this months 'Guitar Player' magazine! It's quite difficult to get hold of here in the U.K., so i haven't actually read the article myself yet - but we're very honored to be included in the magazine
Slide On!

Welcome back Ian.
I hope you got suitably tan and toasted.
That was a fun list to put together. Some names I never heard of either amongst the stalwarts. Its sill a very small business compared to amps or pedals or luthiers.
I'll look for the article in GP mag. If I find it I'll send you a copy.
BTW, you have an e-mail from me. I'm sure you'll get to it eventually.

Actually now that I reflect- there are only 24 resources on this list. Not a lot since a few on the list are just cutting down bottles.
Think about how many luthiers, amp builders, and varieties of fx pedals, and picks exist . the slide community is tiny tiny tiny.
