How to Play Slide Guitar in Standard/Dropped-D DVD by Kirk Lorange
If you really want to spice up your playing, slip a slide over your pinkie and add it to your musical vocabulary. There's no need to re-tune your guitar to an open tuning, just stay in standard or lower that bass string down to D. Kirk shows you how in this 70 minute DVD, talking and playing you through the basics, vibrato, muting, playing single note lines, finding all the chord flavors (they're all there!) and mixing it all into one very neat hybrid style of playing guitar. I need a small, powerful clean sounding amp!
I'm looking for something that would solve two problems I have right now. I don't like to carry heavy things and I need a lot of clean headroom. One thought is the Evans AE100, anoth idea is the G-K 250ML. Both are kinda expensive and the G-K is hard to come by. The Evans amp is not sold in Sweden.
Anyone here have any suggestions?

Look at a Peavey Classic 30.
They are little 1x12 tubed combos that have amazing warm cleans.
I own one, I'll post up some recordings of it soon.

Given the fact that you are in Sweden, that presents a challenge from an American-centric point of view of course.
I assume since this is the Slide Guitar Forum that you play Slide Guitar- as a given.
But what kind of music? What guitar(S)? Solo or in a band? What kind of music? Clean or Overdriven. You mention the need for clean headroom. Why? Do you use FX?
What is your budget?

OK, here's what's happening with the amp thing. I'm most probably getting a GK 250ML. I can get one used and it seems to be the one that really fits the description "small, powerful and clean".
A Peavey Classic 30 is a nice amp but something I would consider kinda big actually. When I say small I mean small enough to go on your bike.
What do I play? Blues mostofthe time, some jazz, some other stuff. The thing that's different is that I play it on an elelctric balalajka, with a slide. For the most part I want a clean tone from the amp.

For price, size, and your location, the GK is probably your best choice, I agree.

GK 250ML turned out to be rather noisy when turned up a bit. Too bad cause I love the size of the thing. However, the GK Microbass amps are starting to look like a decent (but expensive) option.
