Make your own brass slide
I have made my own brass slides.
The plumbing supply stores have solid brass pipe in various internal diameters and wall thicknesses.
I went in and stuck my finger into several varieties until I found one that was comfortable.
You will get some funny looks.
More funny looks when you ask what is the smallest length you can buy (ususally one foot) It costs very little.
Buy a hacksaw blade for brass and metal and some sandpaaper sheets coarse and fine.
Measure your length, cut and sand.
If you have access to a dremel tool you can grind a crescent cut for your palm joint.
Tip: Buy some Brasso and keep it highly polished - its smoother and doesn't drag on the strings. Tarnish slows them down and deadens the sound. Dremels also are great for polish and buffing.
