How to Play Slide Guitar in Standard/Dropped-D DVD by Kirk Lorange

If you really want to spice up your playing, slip a slide over your pinkie and add it to your musical vocabulary. There's no need to re-tune your guitar to an open tuning, just stay in standard or lower that bass string down to D. Kirk shows you how in this 70 minute DVD, talking and playing you through the basics, vibrato, muting, playing single note lines, finding all the chord flavors (they're all there!) and mixing it all into one very neat hybrid style of playing guitar. That was a treat to my ears. Nicely done. It's so cool how a guitar can make so many different sounds and flavors of song.

I really enjoyed that csason, particularly the vocals although the playing was superb as well.

By the way guys I'm not trying to start anything but Old friend that you guys are playing was done in Open G, My music teacher said it's open G because none of the notes, riffs sounded the same as we were playing with the mp3 I recorded from youtube. but you guys can correct us if were wrong though.
