Can I replace.......?
a spider cone with a bisquit cone. I have a beginner resonator and am into playing delta slide blues. I've read that the bisquit cone is better for this type of music while the spider cone is preferred for bluegrass. Will a bisquite cone fit or would I have to buy a completely new resonato?

It is not just the cone. A biscuit bridge and a spider bridge are two different animals.

AT is right.....two different systems. They cannot be changed. Actually a spider resonator gives more sustain than a typical biscuit reso. I think it would be just fine for Blues.

The spider reso will give you a brighter tone than the buscuit which is why bluegrass and country players favour it. Some blues players play spiders so why don't you get comfortable with it and see how you feel in a couple of months or so.
