  A chord to a slide?

I've been doing some experimenting and I found a little riff that's pretty cool, However on it's own it just sounds like your wanking or mindless noodling in one area. I would like to know how I can mix this up abit?

Ok this is what I'm doing.

Play the a chord as normal apreggie "not the Am chord" but A chord and then at the end of the 4 count Play the string D at the G note then play the A string at the C note then go back into an A chord apreggie, I have that so far but I'm trying to finger out what I should do next and I was thinking a slide at the 12th fret but then it doesn't sound right.

Any idea's?

Slide $27-$50
New strings $4-$6
New Cord $45

How about going to the D string 12th fret and slide down the D string to the 7fret, 3rd fret and end on the open D string?

Can I see what that should look like?

I realise now I missed your repeat of the A chord, but this was just the first idea that came into my head - no worries if you don't like it. You could slide from the 12 down if you want to.

Thank you Carol, I'll give it a try when I start to feel better.
