Classic rock, mostly- although I branch out pretty widely in pretty much all directions, from bluegrass to metal to classical to folk to barbershop quartets, etc.......

Oddly enough, I love 80s-90s alternative. Mostly 80s, though.
By far, my favorite band is Depeche Mode. Counting unofficial releases, remix albums, singles and so forth, I have over 100 DM albums. Other faves in that genre are The Smiths, Erasure, B-52s, REM, 10,000 Maniacs, OMD, Oingo Boingo, The Housemartins, etc. etc.
Having said that, I also loves me some AC/DC. For my money, there's still no better music to make your ears bleed with. I also like bluegrass quite a bit, especially live.
So yeah, a little of everything here too.
I read somewhere that learning to play was a sort of negotiation between you and your guitar. I now believe it.
So much to learn, so many callouses to build.™

Hi, I voted for rock. But truth is I like other types as well - pop, some country, ballads, jazz, some metal rock, slow rock, rock and roll. I grew up in the 70's so I had been strumming the music of Rod Stewart, Eagles, Scorpions, Beatles, Bread, John Denver, Elton John, Bon Jovi, etc.

What is the world is screamo? I don't know what "emo" is although I've seen it around. Emo to me is a terrible comic from the 80's.

"acid-folk"? lmfao...Grateful Dead, in other words.
really just depends on my mood at the time. I like Spanish classical (Montoya, Segovia) and I like Velvet Revolver...early Beatles and Stones, Chet Atkins...just depends. Just talking about listening, I've only scratched the surface, playing

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
