I dont see many Electric Guitarists around.

Well, even if this place is mainly for "Beginners" that doesnt mean everyone have to start with ACOUSTIC guitars all the way. Electric guitar is also a superb way to express yourself. So, were are you electric beginners or beyond guitarists? Sometimes i feel alone in this distortion realm and i would like to hear many other mainly electric guitarists around.

For my two cents, I like 'em both.
I don't think Zeppelin or Deep Purple or Ozzy or AC/DC would sound right on acoustic.

But I also enjoy to hear artists "unplugged" and enjoyed the MTV series. Hearing Eric Clapton play acoustic was amazing and just proved to me how damn good that guy is. I don't know if Clapton is God, but I'm pretty sure God would want him around to entertain the masses!

I started out on acoustic, but got an electric a few years ago. I haven't used the acoustic more than twice in the past several years.

A c'mon Todd, try Back in Black on acoustic. It's fun!

It's not what you can't do. It's how you play what you already know.

I much prefer banging around on my electric, mostly because I have some minor hand issues and the lighter gauge strings are easier on my hand. My electric quit on me a couple weeks ago; I was able to fix it, but only temporarily. Finally took it in and had somebody who really knows what they are doing fix it. It is good to have it back but it was fun being "stuck" with the acoustics.

Ha! I don't think it would have the same impact. Played right, that song should have the hairs standing up on the back of your neck and have teenage boys everywhere fired up with angst and aggression!

A c'mon! Anyone who can bend the G string in the second fret is creating enough angst!
