Identifying Intervals

Hi Friends !

I hope everything is well and that everyday had a Great New year !
Its been a long time since I visited the forum....

Just wanted to get some help on Identifying Intervals -

Is it efficient to start recognizing and remembering intervals using the common technique of relating them to familiar songs ? I mean wont this make one dependent on recalling the song (in advanced stages) or will it just fade away and the Interval Quality will stay ?

Kindly advice on this and if yes - Can you please give me a few common examples of such "Song examples" for Interval Identification?

I personally could figure out only the following and if you all could share yours, I guess we'll have a good collection for learners like me -

Maj 2nd - Titanic Theme, 500 Miles, Major Scale

Maj 3rd - Doe a Deer (Sound of Music) , I just called to say I love you (Steve Wonder)

Perfect 4th - Love me Tender - Aura Lee

Perfect 5th - Metallica - ONE (the very first Starting Guitar part), Top Gun Theme

Kindly advice if my choices are ok and please advice a few more for P5ths and for the others too.

Take care everybody and Have a Nice Day !
Lots of Regards and Care
Kush
