Maybe I'm wrong here, but it was my understanding that there is quite a price markup in OZ versus the U.S. If that is the case, you could have her find something you really want but didn't want to pay OZ prices for.
Maybe look at
Musiciansfriend.com for some ideas and have her go to a local Guitar Center or Sam Ash Music and get what you want for less cash?
And I don't know what the current exchange rate is, so that would need to be considered, too.
Just a thought.
