Hello,
I was on Kirk's webring a few years back and I have just found this site.
My name is Lovat, 47 and stay in central Scotland.
I was playing fairly frequently in several blues duos over the last 15 years but lugging pa's around has lost it's glamour.
So I play less bars and festivals and have looked to concentrate on my picking and sliding and keep trying to complete my fourth cd " Original snake sin music".
This will have slidey tunes on it and some of my own fingerstyle to.I call it Scottish music because Celtic music I fear is a media creation.
I got into sliding on electrics in the mid 70's as the Kay I bought was unplayable in any other way.
I now play my trust Suzuki for
slide which I bought in 1979 and a Yari I bought in 2001 for fingerstyle.
I am inspired by Ry Cooder,Fred McDowell and the wonderous Robert Johnson.
adios,
Houndog
