Hey guys,
We did the gig.
Up at 4am, 4 cups of Starbucks, and off to Hernando, MS to soundcheck at 6am. Everything came off well, but there were some "issues" along the way. First off, the heat and humidity down this way is intense, and it made the maple fretboard and strings really sticky. Then, we had 18 wheelers driving by the courthouse within about 20-30 yard of where we were set up (which was outside) and the CB
radios came through the system a few times. Finally, we had ants get all over the gear, which was no big deal, just kind of distracting. We did 5 20-30 second outros, and 1 full song toward the end, where I was finally able to relax and get some good
slide licks in. It was pretty labor intensive, and way early for playing live & loud, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I'll see if we got any decent video, and put it on the web if its cool.
grace & peace & cool tones,
Randy
"Impossible" is just someone else's opinion.... its a dare, not a fact.
