I've been studying early Muddy Waters lately.
When I was a kid, I thought he was hopeless, just playing like a beginner.
I had to mature to understand where he was coming from.
The more I study the little things he does, the more I realise he is a monster player, with subleties that are hard to nail when you transcribe his music.
