Terje, how about Duane Allman, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks? Their slide playin' is pretty fast and emotional...
You may listen to pedal-steel players like Robert Randolph, Paul Franklin, Speedy West

Robert Randolph plays lot of staccato and so on...
