I just realized that when I jam with
slide, I don't finger at all. How about some rule of thumb about switching between the two. Are there guidelines or just personal taste. What do you do. I use both when I use tab calling for it but, it is not natural for me. I use my pinky a lot in fingering so my mindset turns off the fingers as soon as it is covered with a slide. I am going to play finger style with the slide on til I break that mindset. thanks
