Have voted No here as I don't believe it offers anything more than the tab, and two hours is a big chunk of a persons day.

Our wonderful site "Guitar for beginners & beyond", The "beyond" part mean's? those of us whom may be at stages "beyond" beginners, therefor getting to a playing stage more advanced that what they are at. They can also give out valuable tips to other players who need help. I'm supposed to be at the intermediate stage (I would question that myself) and I find this site a godsend. The video lessons are designed for players at different levels. In general guitar players are only too pleased to help one another, which as you get more comfortable with playing you will find out. Which is what I believe Kirk and Clancy have intended. I love this site and I love the video lessons. I have also made a lot of friends here, after all this is a guitar community.
So air your opinions, nobody minds that! and enjoy this wonderful site.

Now when I talk to God he said he'd understand, Stick by me I'll be your guiding hand. But don't ask me what I think of you. I might not give the answer you want me to.

  To Kirk

Hi
i have voted a YES,but after reading most of the comments i have realized that it should have been a NO,please excuse me for that.

coz, as it has already been mentioned by most of dear frnds here that if its too much of effort for you to get those dots on the video then i would suggest please dont bother
and on the other hand it would be great if you would bestow some more easy lessons on beginners like me.(i hope the pros wont mind ) so that we could steadly become proficient and our dexterity increases.

hello kirk ,
thanks for the help. Ive been playing for a very long time but when i stumbled across your site i fond it hard to belivev that i dont have to pay! it really is ite ive ever seen (in learning guitar) now instead of just strumming songs i am looking more deeply in to what im playing and i think my guitaring has improved because of your site so thanks so much. On to the visual aid personally although i agree with most on the time issue i think its very helpful for me and not a waste of time maybe you could give the aid on songs you feel need it (simple ideas are best!) sorry for long message but ive had my say now and thanks again Kirk

Hi all,

Just to say I am happy with the format as it is at the moment, I don't really find it any more useful. However that may be just the way I have got used to its present form.
I think it's a great site and appreciate the time devoted to the lessons for our benefit.

Regards
Jeff

The more I think about it...

I voted yes initially, but the more I think about it, if you can use "guitar pro" to see the same thing, dots, then 2 hours just for that little section does not seem efficient.

Looks Cool but I did buy Guitar Pro and it does show the fret board if needed.
You do are a great teacher and I get more from your lesson's and tab than the videos I use them for a quick look and listen but then use the tab and guitar pro files for pratice.

I'm new here and right now I like it. And I willing to help support this site with a donation. I don't know how many guitarist visit this site, but if each one gave a dollar or two, it would help out a lot I'm sure. Especially if you are receiving something to help your growth in playing the guitar from GFBAB, we should all give back in return. You know, give and it shall be given unto you.

Kirk,

I think its absolutly fantastic, and thank you for the effort to do so. But I agree with most, show me the finger work. Then I'll find a program that makes the dot's.
By the way how did you do that.

I really like the visual fretboard !!!
It shows me exactly where you put each finger and when. I watch your fretting hand but cannot always tell if one of your fingers is on or off a string. I wish you had the visual fretboard on your "Starry, Starry Night" lesson - that would help me out very much.
Keep up the good work !
Ken

G'day, what can I say that an't be said,

mmmm, but think I put my 2 Bob's worth in any'ah.

To me it looks good, as you get to see where your fingers should be, and it works on a 3 point referance to go by.

As for the time it takes to prepare, and is it worth it, that in it self is for the teacher to decide, and the pupils to work out over time, me I'd giv't 6 or so lessons and then see if is doing it's job.

Well that's my 2 Bob's worth, but then I only a newbie.....

for a song that has a bit more then Auld Lang Syne it would be helpful. but for something as simple as Auld Lang Syne, if you cant get that from the tabs, it wont help yah any anyway...
