I am not sure if this is some kind of deteriorating effect or was already there when I purchased. The only thing I use on the guitar to clean is the recommended Martin guitar polish and cloth.

In addition, I have noticed on the front surface, there is a dimple in the wood about an inch in diameter. It is barely noticeable and hard to tell if it is a problem with the wood or finish.

Anybody else run into something like this?
I went through reviews and some people are having issues with blems. Seems to be not uncommon with 16s. 3 or 4 out of twenty reviewers were unhappy with blems.
